Dental Implants
Dental implants can be a viable solution for patients that have lost one or more teeth to periodontal disease or other causes.

Gum Grafts
Gum grafts are a periodontal procedure in which tissue is grafted to the gums to repair gum recession. Gum recession occurs when the gums pull away from the teeth, exposing the underlying root. This exposure can lead to root sensitivity and cavities.

Peri-Implantitis Treatment
Peri-implantitis is a condition that can occur when infection or irritations develop around dental implants. It is much like gingivitis or periodontal disease in patients with natural teeth. The condition results from the build-up of bacterial plaque or a foreign body, which can eventually affect the bone around the implant.

Perioscopy
Perioscopy is a non-invasive therapy for the prevention and treatment of periodontal diseases. The procedure is performed with the aid of the Perioscope, an incredibly small instrument that incorporates a fiber-optic camera. This enables the hygienist to perform a thorough cleaning while seeing a greatly magnified view of the space between your teeth and gums.

Ridge Augmentation
The alveolar ridge is the portion of the jawbone that surrounds the roots of your teeth. After extraction or loss of a tooth, the indentation left behind will typically heal, filling with bone and tissue. However, periodontal disease and complications can lead to this indentation remaining, collapsing, or otherwise deteriorating.

Sedation Dentistry
While most periodontal and dental implant procedures can be carried out with local anesthesia that numbs the area being worked upon, some patients might prefer a sedative.

Sinus Lift
A sinus lift is a procedure that adds bone in order to provide a foundation for dental implants. Above the back portion of the upper jaw (the maxilla) are cavities called the maxillary sinuses. These cavities can leave too little bone for a successful dental implant placement. Grafting bone in the sinus can restore available bone to place implants.

Surgical Tooth Extraction
Gum health issues and other complications can lead to the need for the removal of periodontally involved or non-restorable teeth. In these cases, the tooth or teeth are surgically extracted with the ultimate aim of providing a dental implant to replace the teeth within three to four months of the initial extraction.
